Vårsta Diaconal Centre is an independent foundation affiliated to the Church of Sweden with the aim of promoting Christian social and diaconal work. Vårsta is located in Härnösand, Sweden.
Vårsta:
- trains deacons, pastors, other professions and lay people for diaconal service
- develops practical diaconal and social work often in co-operation with others
- is a centre of diaconal knowledge, pastoral counselling,family counselling and crisis- and catastrophy work
- unites diaconal work in Sweden with international diaconal work
- co-operates with churches, organisations and commercial companies
- offers a diaconal environment and has guest rooms
- psychosocial work in international disaster
